How to Integrate AigeoRadar with Shopify: Complete Setup & Usage Guide
Shopify powers millions of online stores — but traditional SEO alone no longer controls how AI assistants recommend your brand. Tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini look for structured discovery signals: files such as llms.txt, machine-readable entity data, and clear homepage metadata.
AigeoRadar analyzes your store, builds an AI Discovery package from your crawl and GEO analysis, and the AigeoRadar Shopify app publishes that package to your live storefront — no FTP, no Liquid theme edits, no copying JSON by hand.
This guide covers everything you need: prerequisites, how to get the app today (before the public App Store listing), installation, connection, deployment, verification, updates, plan requirements, and how the Shopify app differs from content publishing inside AigeoRadar.
Shopify App Store — coming soon (early access available now)
We are preparing the public listing on the Shopify App Store. The listing will be live very soon, and merchants will be able to install AigeoRadar directly from Shopify Admin with one click.
In the meantime, you do not have to wait. If you are on a Pro plan or above and ready to deploy AI discovery assets, we offer a simple early-access path:
- Send us your Shopify store domain (for example
your-brand.myshopify.com) and your storefront URL (for examplehttps://your-brand.com). - We reply by email with a personal one-click install link for your store.
- You open the link, approve the standard Shopify OAuth permissions, and the app is installed — the same smooth experience you will get from the App Store later.
There is nothing experimental about the install itself: it uses Shopify’s normal app authorization flow. You can remove the app from Settings → Apps and sales channels at any time. Your existing theme and products are not modified — the app only adds AI discovery files and optional homepage head tags.

If your goal is AI visibility and GEO optimization, start with the Shopify app. Use Admin API publishing only when you want AigeoRadar to push drafted content into Shopify pages and blog articles.
What the app deploys to your store
After you run a GEO analysis in AigeoRadar and click Deploy now, the following goes live on your storefront:

Discovery files are served through Shopify’s App Proxy — stable URLs on your own domain, without uploading files to your theme. Head tags are added through a lightweight theme app embed you enable once in the theme editor. No Liquid code to paste.
Prerequisites before you connect
- An AigeoRadar account with a site added (your Shopify storefront domain).
- Domain verification completed in AigeoRadar (DNS, HTML file, or meta tag).
- At least one completed GEO analysis — the AI Discovery package is generated from your crawl and analysis results.
- Pro plan or higher — Shopify app sync is included on Pro, Agency, and Enterprise plans. Free and Starter users see an upgrade prompt.
- Shopify store admin access — you need permission to install apps and customize your theme.
- Online Store 2.0 theme (most modern Shopify themes) — required for the theme app embed.
Tip: Fill in your Business Profile in AigeoRadar (Site → Integrations) before deploying. Richer profile data improves entity.json and knowledge.json quality for ecommerce brands.
Step-by-step: connect and deploy
Step 1 — Set up your site in AigeoRadar
Go to Dashboard → Sites → Add site and enter your storefront URL (for example https://your-brand.com). Complete domain verification and run a full GEO analysis.
Step 2 — Request your install link (early access)
Email hello@aigeoradar.com or use the Contact page with:
- Your AigeoRadar account email
- Shop domain:
your-brand.myshopify.com - Storefront URL:

We send you a one-click install link by email. When the app is listed on the Shopify App Store, you will be able to install from there instead — same app, same features.
Step 3 — Install the app on your store
- Open the install link from your email (or, once live, search for AigeoRadar in the Shopify App Store).
- Review the permissions and click Install app.
- Shopify redirects you back to AigeoRadar — your store is now connected via OAuth.
Alternatively, from AigeoRadar go to Sites → [your domain] → Publishing Integrations, enter your shop domain in the AigeoRadar Shopify App card, and click Install app if OAuth is already configured for your account.
Step 4 — Enable the theme app embed (one-time)
This step wires homepage head tags so AI crawlers can find your discovery files:
- In Shopify Admin: Online Store → Themes → Customize
- In the left panel, open App embeds
- Enable AigeoRadar AI Discovery
- Click Save
This takes about 30 seconds and does not change your store’s visual design — it only adds discovery metadata in the section.
Step 5 — Deploy to your live storefront
In AigeoRadar, open Sites → [your domain] → Publishing Integrations and click Deploy now in the Shopify App card.
AigeoRadar publishes the latest discovery package to your app proxy URLs and refreshes head-injection data. Deployment typically completes in seconds.
Step 6 — Verify everything is live
Run these quick checks:

- Optionally, run a new analysis in AigeoRadar — the scan should detect deployed AI discovery assets.
Understanding status in AigeoRadar
The Publishing Integrations page shows clear status indicators:
- Connected — Your Shopify store is linked via OAuth. The app is installed.
- Deploy pending — Connected but discovery files have not been published yet. Click Deploy now.
- Assets deployed — Proxy files are live. You will see badges for
llms.txt,entity.json, and related assets. - Plan inactive — Your subscription lapsed or sync is not included. Existing deployed files stay live, but new deploys are blocked until you renew or upgrade to Pro+.
AigeoRadar keeps your store connected even when a plan expires — your discovery files remain served so you do not lose AI visibility overnight. Renew to push fresh analysis updates.
When and how to redeploy
Redeploy whenever your AI Discovery package changes:
- After a new crawl and analysis (updated scores, new products or collections, revised business profile)
- After editing your Business Profile in AigeoRadar
- After generating new discovery assets from the Action Center
- After major catalog or positioning changes (seasonal launches, new product lines)
Workflow: complete analysis in AigeoRadar → open Publishing Integrations → Deploy now. No need to reinstall the app unless you disconnect or change stores.
Using AigeoRadar day to day with Shopify
Monitor your GEO score
Use the AigeoRadar dashboard to track AI Readiness, Authority, and overall GEO scores. The Action Center lists issues with suggested fixes — many improve after discovery assets are live.
Run an LLM Visibility A/B test (Pro+)
From your analysis page, run the LLM Visibility A/B Test to compare how an AI would answer buyer questions before vs after your discovery package context. This shows that deployment changes how AI describes your store — not just a percentage score.
Publish content to Shopify (optional, separate feature)
If you use AigeoRadar’s Content Factory to generate blog posts, FAQ pages, or landing pages, connect a Publishing destination with your shop domain and a Shopify Admin API access token. That path publishes pages and articles — it does not replace the Shopify app for llms.txt and entity files.

Security and permissions
- Installation uses Shopify’s standard OAuth — you approve permissions in Admin before anything is connected.
- The app requests only the scopes needed for discovery deploy and theme embed — not customer payment data.
- Discovery file content is served from AigeoRadar’s cached package via verified app proxy (HMAC-signed requests).
- You can uninstall the app anytime from Shopify Admin — existing theme files are untouched.
